Paperwork
Your personal information
We hold very little about anyone. Here is what that little is, what it is for, and how PIPEDA, the federal statute, and Québec’s own private-sector privacy act protect you.
Revised November 5, 2026
Who looks after it
Souffle Douleur, an editorial website run from Montréal, Québec, answers for the personal information in its care. Clara Wójcik is the person in charge of protecting it, and she reads the mailbox listed at the foot of this page.
What reaches us
There is no analytics package, no advertising tag and no social-network button on any page. We never ask children for information and do not knowingly hold any.
- Through the contact form: the name, email address and message you type, plus the moment it arrived
- Through our host: routine server records such as IP address and browser type, kept to protect the site
- In your own browser: one local-storage note with your cookie answer, which never travels to us
What it is used for
Messages are read to be answered, and any page they prove wrong gets mended. Server records help us spot misuse and repair faults. Sending the form is your consent, and you can take that consent back whenever you like.
Who else can see it
Your details are never sold, swapped or lent. Our hosting company stores the site for us under a written contract. Its servers may sit outside Québec or outside Canada; the contract still protects the data there, though local law in that country can apply to it. We hand information to public authorities only when Canadian law obliges us.
How long it stays
A message is erased a year after our final reply to it. Server records are cleared within ninety days.
Once you follow a game link
Every game card hands you over to CrazyGames, whose privacy policy is its own. What that site or any other collects is outside our reach.
Asking, correcting, erasing
Ask us for a copy of whatever we keep on you, or ask for it to be put right or wiped, and expect an answer inside thirty days. If our reply does not satisfy you, you can complain to the federal Privacy Commissioner or, for Québec matters, to the Commission d’accès à l’information.
Locks and keys
Messages sit inside the site’s password-protected administration area, which only the three editors can open, and every page travels over HTTPS.
Revisions to this page
Whenever our handling of personal information shifts, this page is rewritten and the date beneath its heading moves forward.
